Charleston Tea Plantation consist of 127 acres on the Wadmalaw Island. The land on Wadmalaw Island is the prefect environment for propagating tea. The sandy soil along with the sub-tropical climate and rainfall provides the ideal environment for the Camellia Sinensis plant. This plant is currently used to produce both black and green teas and exists in over 320 varieties on the 127 acre grounds of the Charleston Tea Plantation.
You can take an enjoyable Trolley Ride through the tea fields. You can also take a Factory Tour and learn about the history, harvesting and production of the tea.
